What should a business website do?
It should be easy to find on Google, show within seconds what you offer and to whom, and make getting in touch effortless. It has to work as well on a phone as on a laptop and load quickly, even on a weak mobile signal. Everything else comes second.
Picture a visitor with three other tabs open. If your heading doesn’t say what you do, they move on. That’s why we always start with what you sell and to whom, and design the pages around it.
- Be found: clear headings, page titles and a page of its own for each service you want to rank for
- Explain the offer: what you do, who it is for and how to get a price
- Make contact easy: phone, e-mail and a form visible on every page
- Work on mobile: buttons you can tap and text you can read without zooming
- Load fast: light images and clean code instead of a heavy template
What must a Swedish company website show by law?
Section 8 of the Swedish Electronic Commerce Act (2002:562) requires a service provider to give its name, address and e-mail address and, where applicable, its organisation number and VAT registration number. The information must be easily, directly and permanently accessible. The footer, which appears on every page, is the natural place. This is an overview, not legal advice.
If you show prices, section 9 of the same Act says they must be stated clearly and unambiguously, and that it must be stated separately if tax or delivery costs are added. So say whether a price includes VAT.
If you work in a regulated profession, one that requires a licence, authorisation or similar, you must also give your professional title, the professional body you are registered with and the rules that apply.
- Company name
- Address and e-mail address
- Organisation number and VAT registration number, if you have them
- The relevant licensing authority, if your business needs a licence
Does a business website need a cookie banner?
Only if the site stores or reads information on the visitor’s device that isn’t necessary for the service. Under the Swedish Electronic Communications Act, chapter 9 section 28, that requires information about the purpose and consent. If the site has a contact form, GDPR also requires you to explain how the data is handled.
Storage that is necessary for a service the visitor has explicitly asked for is allowed without consent. Anything else needs the visitor to be told why first, and to say yes.
The Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) lists what people are entitled to know when their data is collected: among other things the purpose, the legal basis, how long the data is kept, who receives it and how to contact whoever is responsible. That goes in a privacy policy.
We don’t add tracking cookies unless you ask for them, which means fewer things to ask your visitors’ permission for.
Which package suits my business?
Start, from SEK 14 900, suits a landing page or a small company site of 1–5 pages. Business, from SEK 29 900, gives you up to 12 pages, two languages and a simple CMS. Custom, from SEK 59 900, covers web apps, online shops and customer portals. All prices exclude VAT.
The “from” price is the lowest price for the package. The exact figure depends on scope and is set in the quote before we start. To compare with what others charge, read our guide to what a website costs.
- Start, from SEK 14 900: 1–5 pages, custom design, phone, tablet and desktop, contact form, basic SEO and Search Console, launch on your domain. Done in 2–3 weeks.
- Business, from SEK 29 900: up to 12 pages, two languages, blog or simple CMS, forms, booking or quote requests, technical SEO and structured data, a performance and accessibility review and 30 days of support after launch.
- Custom, from SEK 59 900: features built for your business, e-commerce with payments and shipping, login and customer portal, integrations with accounting, CRM and payments, automation and AI workflows.
What do I need to prepare?
Three things: text about what you do, a logo and photos. The text doesn’t have to be finished, but you know your customers best. Your own photos of yourself and your work say more than stock images. If something is missing, we cover it in the first call so it’s in the price.
- Text: what you sell, to whom, where you operate and what customers usually ask
- Your logo in the best format you have. No logo yet? Logo from SEK 9 900, or a full brand identity from SEK 19 900
- Photos: your own pictures of you, your staff or your work
- Footer details: company name, organisation number, address and e-mail
- Access to your domain, or the domain you would like
How does it work, from first call to launch?
Five steps: a free call, a written proposal with a fixed price, a design you approve, development and launch. You pay 50 % when work starts and 50 % at launch, with invoices due within 10 days. Two consolidated rounds of changes to design and content are included.
The price doesn’t change as long as the scope stays the same. If you want to add something along the way, you get a new price before we do it.
- Conversation: what you sell, to whom and what is missing today
- Proposal and fixed price: scope, timeline and price in writing before anything is built
- Design: you see the pages before they are coded and say what should change
- Development: we build, test on real devices and review performance
- Launch: we publish, measure and adjust
What happens after launch?
The site is yours. The code, accounts and domain are in your name, so you decide whether we run it or someone else does. The Business package includes 30 days of support after launch. After that there is Hosting and support SEK 490 a month and Hosting Plus SEK 1 490.
- Hosting and support, SEK 490/mo: EU hosting, SSL, backups, updates and monitoring
- Hosting Plus, SEK 1 490/mo: everything in Hosting and support plus two hours of changes every month
- Hourly rate SEK 995 for small changes without a contract, minimum one hour
- For more visitors: ongoing SEO SEK 5 900/mo or Google Ads SEK 4 900/mo, with ad spend paid to Google on top
