Should I build booking in or connect a ready-made booking system?
For most small businesses a ready-made booking tool is the right choice. We connect the tool you choose to your website, so customers reach the booking straight from the site, or we build a simple booking request form that you confirm yourself. Payments and deeper integrations belong to the Custom package.
You pay for a ready-made tool directly to its provider. Licences for third-party services, such as booking and payments, are not included in our packages.
- Ready-made booking tool: the calendar and bookings are handled in the tool, where you have your own account
- Booking request form: the customer suggests a time and you confirm
- Custom: payments, customer accounts and connections to other systems
What does a hairdresser, garage or consultant need from booking?
It depends on how the time is used. A hairdresser needs services of different lengths and often several staff. A garage needs to know which car and which job it is before confirming the time. A consultant often just needs open slots for a call and a meeting link. Start there, not with the tool.
- Hairdresser or salon: services of different lengths, choice of staff and cancellations
- Garage: registration number, a description of the job and confirmation from you
- Consultant: open slots and a meeting in person or by link
- Everyone: clear prices, an address and the cancellation terms
Can customers pay when they book?
Yes, if the booking tool you choose supports payments. The payment is then handled by the tool and its payment provider, and you pay their fees to them. If you want payments built into your own booking, connected to your own systems, that belongs to the Custom package from SEK 59 900 excluding VAT.
Which payment methods you can offer depends on what the tool supports. Check that before choosing a tool if payment at booking matters to you.
What happens to customer data under GDPR?
Bookings contain personal data, so GDPR applies. According to IMY, the Swedish privacy authority, you should only collect data needed for the purpose, keep it no longer than necessary and protect it with suitable security measures. Explain in a privacy policy what you collect and why, and only ask for what the booking actually requires.
If you use a ready-made booking tool, the data is stored with the provider. Find out where it is stored and how the provider handles it before you choose a tool. This is an overview, not legal advice.
Which package do I need for booking?
Complete, from SEK 29 900 excluding VAT. It includes forms, booking or quote requests, up to 12 pages, two languages, technical SEO and 30 days of support after launch. If you need payments in the booking, customer accounts or connections to accounting and CRM, that is Custom, from SEK 59 900.
Basic and Landing page include a contact form, but not booking.
- Complete, from SEK 29 900: booking through a ready-made tool or a booking form, up to 12 pages and two languages
- Custom, from SEK 59 900: payments, login and customer portal, integrations with accounting, CRM and payments
What does a booking system cost each month?
Ready-made booking tools charge their own fees, which you pay directly to the provider. An example from October 2026: SumUp describes Bookings on its Swedish site as free booking software, and according to SumUp’s pricing page, online payments through Bookings cost 1.49 % per payment. Other tools charge in other ways, so compare before you choose.
Always check current prices and terms with the provider. On top of the tool’s fee comes hosting for the website itself: our Hosting and support costs SEK 490 a month, or you can use your own host.
